Our Doctors

Michael Geraghty

DVM

A 1996 graduate of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University, Dr. Geraghty is a practicing veterinarian with a focus on emergency vet medicine and surgeries.

He and his wife have been members of the Treasure Coast community for almost two decades. They and their four children enjoy spending lazy days together at the area’s beautiful beaches, along with taking frequent trips to Disney World.

Haley Johnson

DVM, Associate Veterinarian - Day Practice

Dr. Johnson knew she wanted to be a veterinarian from the time she was a little girl. As she grew up in the small town of Rome, Georgia, her desire to become a veterinarian also continued to grow. She completed her undergraduate degree at Berry College in Rome in 2008. She then went on to complete her degree in veterinary medicine at the University of Tennessee in 2012. From 2012-2013, Dr. Johnson did a rotating internship at Coral Springs Animal Hospital. She then remained there as an emergency veterinarian until 2015, when she decided to move north and join our team here at Veterinary Medical Center.

Dr. Johnson’s professional interests include preventive care, internal medicine, and integrative medicine. You may see Dr. Johnson and her husband Francisco out surfing at the jetty in Fort Pierce or on their sailboat. They also enjoy traveling as often as they can. They have two dogs, Reef and Captain, and two cats, Noah and Oliver.

David Hall

DVM

David Hall, DVM, has always loved animals and considers it a privilege to work as a veterinarian. A native of Florida, he completed his studies in 2017 at the University of Florida.

Dr. Hall has worked on the Treasure Coast since that time. His hobbies include woodworking and photography, but his favorite off-work time is spent with the ultimate loves of his life, his daughters, Avery and Madilyn, and his wife, whom he met in vet school!

Meagan Loew

DVM, Associate Veterinarian - Emergency

Dr. Meg Loew grew up locally in Martin County. She realized at eight years old that she wanted to be a veterinarian after caring for a sick family cat. She attended the University of Central Florida for her undergraduate studies, majoring in biology and earning a minor in music. While there, she also obtained technician experience in both small animal and equine medicine.

Dr. Loew attended the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine for her veterinary education. It was during this time that she developed a passion for emergency medicine and dermatology. After graduation, she practiced general small animal medicine locally for two years prior to joining our team.

Dr. Loew is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Florida Veterinary Medical Association, and the Treasure Coast Veterinary Medical Association. She has four rescue pets: two Siamese cats named Mama Rubi and Little Man, and two Pomeranians named Boo and Tibby. In her free time, she enjoys rowing, road cycling, playing the flute, sewing/crafting, and any outdoor water activities.

Stuart George

DVM, Associate Veterinarian - Emergency

Dr. Stuart George is a proud graduate of Oklahoma State College of Veterinary Medicine.  Growing up on a ranch, he was influenced by his father as a positive role-model and became interested in medicine from helping the veterinarian that came out to tend to the livestock on his farm. As a veterinarian, Dr. George considers himself the medical advocate for pets.  He goes by the principle of what would be best for the pet.  He enjoys addressing client’s primary concerns and educating them on their pet’s needs, especially in preventative medicine.

Dr. George enjoys biking, hiking, and camping and as a teenager and in college he participated in rodeos.  He still enjoys tending his livestock and horse, and at home has dogs and cats.  His large family keeps him entertained with 5 children, 14 grandchildren, and about 1,000 nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Chris Lapsley

DVM, Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Chris Lapsley attended Penn State University for his undergraduate training in Animal Bioscience and received his Master’s degree from City College of New York. He spent two years teaching high school science in New York City before attending veterinary school at the University of Pennsylvania.  After graduation he completed a year long rotating internship at Hollywood Animal Hospital in Hollywood, FL and stayed in Florida to practice medicine as a general practice and emergency veterinarian.  Dr. Lapsley’s drive to become a veterinarian came as a teenager after his house had a fire.  He had to board his dog for 6 months at a veterinary facility and while spending time visiting his dog he got to know the veterinary profession.  One of the most important things he considers about his job is client education and helping them understand their pet’s condition and treatment.  As a veterinarian he also especially enjoys performing surgery and wound management. In his free time he likes to fantasize about using the gym in his garage but doesn’t typically make it out there. He enjoys woodworking, does excellent dinosaur impressions for his three kids and is still waiting to be drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles.

Dr. Diskant

DVM

Patricia Diskant, DVM, has an intense love for animals and spent her youth volunteering in veterinary care. She completed her studies in 2017 at the University of Florida, where she earned the prestigious Maddie’s Shelter Medicine Award. For the last seven years, Dr. Diskant has worked on the Treasure Coast, and her devotion to veterinary medicine extends to volunteering with local shelters for cats and dogs. Another of her hobbies is horseback riding, but the time she enjoys most is spent with her two young daughters, Avery and Madilyn, and her husband, whom she met in vet school!

Dr. Murati

DVM

Born and raised in beautiful Puerto Rico, Dr. Murati is a born animal lover. As a toddler, she always blabbered about how she wanted to be an animal doctor, “Veterinaria” (veterinarian in Spanish) actually was her first “big word”.

Although her parents were apathetic at the time, they allowed pursue her need to protect animals to rescue or rehabilitate any animal in need that she encountered (whether they were furred, feathered, or scaled). Her passion was such that her parents inadvertently became animal lovers as well.

Dr. Murati knew she was going to be a veterinarian, and there was a long career along with her. Dr. Murati accepted a research scholarship at Universidad Metropolitana in Puerto Rico, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Biology. As soon as she finished high school (literally the day after prom), she was attending her first undergraduate class. During this time, she became a full time student, conducted research, participated in a published research paper, and worked as a tutor, a waiter, and cashier.

Upon graduation, Dr. Murati saw her dream of becoming a veterinarian closer, enrolling at Ross University in Saint Kitts and completing her clinical rotations at Louisiana State University. She fell in love with Florida during an externship in Coral Gables. Following graduation, in 2015, Dr. Murati took a leap, left her family back home, and accepted her first job offer in Port St. Lucie, FL, where she continues to build professional relationships with all her clients and patients.

Dr. Murati feels extremely blessed to be able to do what she loves. Since the beginning of her career, she’s been passionate about improving the bond between owners, and their fur babies. She enjoys educating clients, primary care, preventative medicine, surgery, endocrine diseases, and dermatology. After a life a series of changing events in 2021, she discovered her passion for animal behavior, which has helped her further assist her patients and caretakers.

While she is not obsessing about veterinary medicine, Dr. Murati enjoys her time with her larger than life cat, Benicio Alejandro, Morza, the 150 lb Rottweiler that led her to dig deeper into animal behavior, and behavior modification, her step son Neo, the ball chasing Corgi, snake, Isadora, and her significant other. In her free time she enjoys travelling, crocheting, riding motorcycle, and dirt bikes.
