Protect your furry friend from harmful parasites

Dogs are naturally curious explorers, venturing into the great outdoors and socializing with other pets. While curiosity is great, it also increases their risk of contracting harmful parasites like fleas, ticks, and intestinal parasites like heartworm disease, round worms, hookworms, whipworms, and tapeworms, just to name a few.

With dogs’ active lifestyles, relying on other treatments leaves gaps in their protection. To protect your pet’s well-being, ask your veterinarian about giving your pet a broad spectrum of coverage.

Meet Our Passionate Veterinarians

Meagan Loew

DVM, Associate Veterinarian - Emergency

Dr. Meg Loew grew up locally in Martin County. She realized at eight years old that she wanted to be a veterinarian after caring for a sick family cat. She attended the University of Central Florida for her undergraduate studies, majoring in biology and earning a minor in music. While there, she also obtained technician experience in both small animal and equine medicine.

Dr. Loew attended the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine for her veterinary education. It was during this time that she developed a passion for emergency medicine and dermatology. After graduation, she practiced general small animal medicine locally for two years prior to joining our team.

Dr. Loew is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Florida Veterinary Medical Association, and the Treasure Coast Veterinary Medical Association. She has four rescue pets: two Siamese cats named Mama Rubi and Little Man, and two Pomeranians named Boo and Tibby. In her free time, she enjoys rowing, road cycling, playing the flute, sewing/crafting, and any outdoor water activities.

Stuart George

DVM, Associate Veterinarian - Emergency

Dr. Stuart George is a proud graduate of Oklahoma State College of Veterinary Medicine. Growing up on a ranch, he was influenced by his father as a positive role-model and became interested in medicine from helping the veterinarian that came out to tend to the livestock on his farm. As a veterinarian, Dr. George considers himself the medical advocate for pets. He goes by the principle of what would be best for the pet. He enjoys addressing client’s primary concerns and educating them on their pet’s needs, especially in preventative medicine.

Dr. George enjoys biking, hiking, and camping and as a teenager and in college he participated in rodeos. He still enjoys tending his livestock and horse, and at home has dogs and cats. His large family keeps him entertained with 5 children, 14 grandchildren, and about 1,000 nieces, nephews, and cousins.
